September was a fabulous glassy month with Loren Stump again teaching at my Studio....this time an "Under the Sea" themed Murrini and paperweights were produced!!!!  They were awesome and quite tricky.  The Murrini Fish was especially tricky with 1 large scale being turned eventually into 64 small scales and a fish was born for the paperweight.

The 1st & 2nd October saw my daughter and I in Sydney at the first Australian Charity "Flame-on" Downunder which featured International guest artists Loren Stump, Robert Mickelson and Christian Arnold (who currently resides in Melbourne) as well as a multitude of flameworkers from all over Australia & New Zealand.  We had a BLAST....met some awesome people and really enjoyed the show (showing off ha ha).  All items made at the Flame-on went up for Auction with the proceeds going to Spinal Injuries Australia.  For me it was the topping off of a FABULOUS month of glass and has certainly renewed my passion for all things glass.

I have since been madly getting onto my torch as often as I possibly can and am currently working on perfecting my blown shells.....not many successes to date but improvements have been made with each practice session....and alot of ideas are certainly floating around at the moment!!!
